Our Mission and Goals

CHAMP for Schools (C4S) is a statewide program launched in 2022 to support the mental health and well-being of Mississippi's school communities. Funded by the Mississippi Department of Mental Health and a HRSA Expansion Grant, C4S provides school personnel with expert psychological consultation through a dedicated phone line and professional learning through Project ECHO. Our mission is to equip educators, school staff, and mental health providers with the tools, knowledge, and support needed to foster safe, inclusive, and emotionally healthy learning environments. We value compassion, collaboration, inclusivity, and evidence-based practice, recognizing the interconnectedness of student and staff well-being. C4S aims to reduce stigma, increase access to mental health resources, and build capacity across schools through timely support, shared learning, and ongoing community engagement.
